What counseling techniques are used in therapy?
Cognitive Behavior Therapy focuses on the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems and changing unhelpful patterns. Solution Focused Therapy looks at the present and future, focusing on the past only to the degree necessary for communicating empathy and appropriate understanding of the client's concerns. These are just to name a few.
How long does each therapy session take?
Typically, patients will meet with therapists face to face for 45 to 55 minutes, depending on the situation.
